1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. They help websites remember you, keep you signed in, and understand how the product is used.
2. How Maavin uses cookies
2.1 Strictly necessary
These are required for the Platform to function and generally cannot be switched off in our systems:
- Session / authentication cookies — keep you logged in securely after email OTP or Google sign-in.
- CSRF / security tokens — help prevent cross-site request forgery on forms.
- Load and integrity cookies — support reliable delivery of pages where applicable.
2.2 Functional
- Remember UI preferences such as customer vs Find work where stored client-side.
- Remember dismissed notices or modal states for a smoother experience.
2.3 Analytics and performance (if enabled)
We use Google Analytics (tag G-85CLQFFMCC) to understand aggregate traffic, including pages visited, device types, and approximate regions. We also use Microsoft Clarity (project ypp38rzbs1) for heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity masks sensitive content by default.
2.4 Marketing cookies
We do not currently run third-party advertising cookies on Maavin. If that changes, we will update this Policy and, where required, seek consent.
3. Cookies we typically set
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session | Authenticate your account and maintain login state | Session / as configured by server |
| XSRF-TOKEN / CSRF | Protect form submissions and API posts | Session |
| Local preferences | UI state (e.g. role switcher cues) | Until cleared |
Exact cookie names may vary as we ship updates. Strictly necessary cookies remain required to use signed-in features.
4. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings (block, delete, or alert on cookies). Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and core marketplace features from working.
For Google sign-in, Google may set its own cookies subject to Google’s policies.
5. Do Not Track
There is no uniform industry standard for Do Not Track browser signals. We currently do not respond to DNT signals beyond our general privacy practices described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy when our technologies change. Check the “Last updated” date above.
